“As a transplant to the Cities, TCHH gave me a strong sense of community and support. Community night was a safe space to talk about my AmeriCorps service and post-grad challenges honestly and without judgement- I was consistently met with understanding and encouragement. TCHH fully embraced me and made my transition to a new city as joyful as possible.” ~Community Member, 2016
Each week, we gather as a whole community on Sunday evenings to share a meal, to check in with one another about our lives, and to delve into the topic of the day. These topics range from conversations about social justice issues, learning new ways of spiritual practice, reflecting on our vocational journeys, working on life skills like budgeting, exploring our own values and beliefs, and discussing what it means to be young adults in the world today. These topics may be led by a guest speaker, by our program coordinator, by one of our residents, or explored as a group discussion.
All Are Welcome!
Are you a young adult looking for community? Are you working in a service organization or do you have interest in living a service-oriented life? Are you open to exploring your spirituality? Do you enjoy talking about social justice issues, what it means to have a purpose in life, and making this world a better place?
We would love to have you join us!
Check out our TCHH Community Time Covenant, to make sure you know our expectations of each other during this time together!
