“TCHH created a warm and supportive home for me during this time of my life in which I am trying to figure out how to make positive change in the world.” ~Resident 2016
Twin Cities Houses of Hospitality is an intentional community, rooted in Christian hospitality, in the Minneapolis/Saint Paul area that engages young adults (ages 21-30) around connections between a life of faith, service, justice and vocation.
It is a one-year program of communal living for young adults, geared especially toward those already serving or planning to serve part-time or full-time in service-based leadership programs and internships such as AmeriCorps, VISTA, Teach for America, non-profit internships and others. During the year, participants engage in spiritual disciplines like simple living, hospitality and intentional/ covenantal community.
A “Bi-Locational” Program
Houses of Hospitality has communal houses in Minneapolis and Saint Paul. While each house is distinct, both houses meet together weekly for fellowship, communal meals, reflections and dialogue.
Engaging Spirituality through Community
The Twin Cities Houses of Hospitality community is a collaborative mission outreach ministry of several local congregations and each member is called to engage their own faith/spirituality during the year, finding a place of meaningful participation in a local community of faith/spirituality for the year of their residence. Members of the Houses of Hospitality are likewise invited to participate in the life of our partner congregations.
